La band toscana nasce nel 2012 da un’idea di Gianni Gori e Nicola Guidi. Si è subito distinta per una intensa attività live e per alcune collaborazioni con artisti internazionali.
Propone un repertorio di musica new country composto da brani originali e cover degli artisti più rappresentativi del genere musicale, caratterizzate da una meticolosa cura negli arrangiamenti vocali e strumentali.
I Beer O’Clock si sono esibiti in molti locali, eventi e festival di musica country. Nel 2014, sul palco del Voghera Country Festival, hanno avuto il piacere di esibirsi insieme a Trent Willmon. L’anno successivo sono stati chiamati come band di Aly Cook, artista country neozelandese proclamata nel 2012 come “Female Country Artist of the Year”. Proprio da lei arrivò il gradito commento “il mio produttore sarebbe orgoglioso di voi: avete preso dal mio nuovo album dei brani mai suonati live prima d’ora e li avete fatti funzionare alla grande sul palco, complimenti!”.
La formazione è la seguente:
- DANIELE PISTOCCHI: voce, chitarra acustica, chitarra elettrica;
- NICOLA GUIDI: chitarra elettrica, chitarra acustica, voce;
- VALENTINA CANTINI: violino, voce;
- GIANNI GORI: pedal steel guitar, mandolino, banjo, dobro, chitarra, voce;
- LORENZO FRANGINI: basso, voce;
- MAURIZIO PIERINI: batteria.
The band, coming from Tuscany, was formed in 2012 as the project of Gianni Gori and Nicola Guidi.
It immediately stood out for an intense live activity and for some collaborations with international artists.
It plays a new country music repertoire made of original songs and cover songs by the most representative artists of the genre, characterized by a meticulous care in vocal and instrumental arrangements.
The Beer O’Clock country band has performed in many events and country music festivals. In 2014, on the stage of Voghera Country Festival, they have had the privilege to perform together with Trent Willmon. The following year they were called to be the backing band Aly Cook, New Zealand country artist, voted in 2012 as the “Female Country Artist of the Year”. From her words the so welcome comment: “my producer would be so proud of you: you have taken, from my new album, songs never played live before, and you have made them work great on stage, all my compliments!”.
