1) ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
• The choreography must be unpublished (never taught, never published on social networks and any other communications medium).
• The music of the choreography should be based on country music. That is, music composed by a Country Artist produced by a record company that recognizes country genre, otherwise the choreography will be scratched from the competition.
• The teams in competition must be composed of at least four participants.
• Team can also be composed of children (only children under 12 years), provide that their number does not reach half of the team members.
• Each school and team can compete in more than one choreography in the same category and level. If one school competes with more than one team in the same level of each category, the teams must have different names. Schools or teams could keep the same name even if they compete in several category or in different levels of each category.
2) REGISTRATION PROCEDURE
• In order to take part to the competition, please send your registration to dance@vogheracountryfestival.com by May 31, 2017 specifying:

- Team name

- City of origin

- School/Team membership numbers

- Number of Children present in the team

- Team leader name, mail address and phone number

- Chorographer name

- Indication of the competition category (Traditional / Catalan / Music Show)

- Indication of difficulty level (improver / advanced), except for Music Show category
• Together with the registration you have to provide also the following attachments:

A Video of Choreography danced by the team leader on the music chosen (accepted all the most commonly used files).

- Choreography script

- Music used in mp3 format, minimum 192 kb
3) TRADITIONAL COUNTRY LINE DANCE CATEGORY (TACCHINO HAT DANCE TROPHY)
• Each choreography will compete in one of the three standard level classes:
BEGINNER, INTERMEDIATE, ADVANCED.
• ATTENTION: The VCF dance commission Supervisor reserves the right to unify BEGINNER and INTERMEDIATE in one level (IMPROVER) in case the Teams registered for each level don’t reach the minimum number required (4 Teams).
The communication to the various teams will be given after the closing of entries.
• The Choreographer will indicate the level class at the registration. If the VCF coordination race staff should face inconsistency between what was communicated by the choreographer and the actual technical and execution difficulty of the dance, a class level change can be operated, upon notice to the choreographer and / or team leader.
• BEGINNER level: choreography should have maximum 48 count, no limit is given to restart and tag. It will not be expected to make any change of position of the dancers.
• INTERMEDIATE level: choreography should have maximum 64 count no limit is given to restarts and tags. It will not be expected to make any change of position of the dancers.
• ADVANCED level: no limit of counts, restarts or tags. Only one change of dancers position will be expected.
• We would like to underline the need to ensure the utmost decorum and overall compliance of the country dress code.
4) CATALAN STYLE CATEGORY (THE BEST OF THE WEST CATALAN CUP)
• Each choreography will compete in one of the two standard level classes: INTERMEDIATE, ADVANCED.
• The Choreographer will indicate the level class at the registration. If the VCF coordination race staff should face inconsistency between what was communicated by the choreographer and the actual technical and execution difficulty of the dance, a class level change can be operated, upon notice to the choreographer and / or team leader.
• INTERMEDIATE level: choreography should have maximum 64 count, no limit of restarts or tags.
• ADVANCED level: no limit of counts, restarts or tags.
• POSITION CHANGES: No limitation is expected.
• The music selected for the competition will e evaluated by the Commission, which reserves the right to approve it or not, in the event that:

A Catalan Style choreography already exists, and it is “recognized and danced”: this means it is already taught in dance school, where the choreographer is recognized in the catalan style field and that it is danced at national / European level in catalan events.

Exist already a choreography presented in the international Catalan Style competition circuit in the last five years.
• We would like to underline the need to ensure the utmost decorum and overall compliance of the country dress code.
5) “OVER 100” CATEGORY
• The Teams over 100 registered in two different categories will compete in the same way in the competition, rated as category “over 100 catalan” and “over 100 traditional” in their respective competitions (Turkey Hat Dance Tropy and The Best of the West the Catalan Cup.
• Only one team for both categories will be rewarded , as any additional class level will be expected.
• no limit of counts, restarts or tags.
• POSITION CHANGES: No limitation is expected.
• Music: the same rules above mentioned will be valid.
6) “MUSIC SHOW” CATEGORY
• Within this category there will be choreographies performed in total freedom from executive, musical, theatrical and organic point of view, but within a timeframe of not more than 5 minutes, including construction of scenography.
7) JURY COMPOSITION AND EVALUATION CRITERIA
• All choreographies in the race, in all three categories, will be judged by a jury made up of: THE NAMES OF JUDGES WILL BE COMMUNICATED SHORTLY.
• Two different juries will be set up: TECHNICAL AND ARTISTIC THE TECHNICAL JURY
This is identified in 3 members recognized in their own style.
• The evaluation criteria that will be used towards the final score are generally related to:
1. Steps technique performance executed in the style represented. Rating points from 5 to 10.
2. Synchrony of all the elements and fluidity of dance (changes as regards categories in which are exepcted). Rating points from 5 to 10.
3. Originality of the choreography. Rating points from 5 to 10
4. Music. Rating points from 5 to 10
THE ARTISTIC JURY
Identified in all 6 members of the jury.
• The evaluation criteria that will be used towards the final score are generally related to:
1. Originality of the choreography;artistic level. Rating points from 1 to 3.
2. Spirit, complicity and empathy between team members. Rating points from 1 to 3
8) 10TH ANNIVERSARY NEW: JURY and POPULAR REWARD (Sponsor Country e…)
• 6 persons will be selected among those who submit their candidacy and that will make a JURY. The latter will decide one winner among all the teams participating in the various categories, levels and styles.
• The winning team will be identified by the Popular Jury according to personal and emotional criteria.
• Requests must be received by May 31, 2017, via e-mail to dance@vogheracountryfestival.com

THIS REGULATION COULD CHANGE IN CASE ORGANIZATIONAL SITUATIONS REQUIRE IT.

1) REQUISITI D’AMMISSIONE
• La coreografia dovrà essere inedita (mai insegnata, mai pubblicata sui social network e su qualsiasi altro mezzo di diffusione).
• La musica relativa dovrà essere di genere Country, ovvero musica di un artista prodotto da una casa discografica che lo riconosce nel genere country, in caso contrario la coreografia verrà eliminata dalla competizione.
• I Team in gara dovranno essere composti da min. 4 partecipanti.
• Saranno ammessi all’interno dei Team anche bambini (cioè fino ad anni 12 NON compiuti), purché il loro numero non raggiunga la metà dei componenti della squadra.
• Ciascuna scuola, squadra, team partecipante, potrà presentare anche più di una singola coreografia, nella stessa categoria e livello. Nel caso in cui una scuola concorra con più squadre nello stesso livello di una categoria, è fatto obbligo la modifica del nome del team; di contro la scuola/team può mantenere il medesimo
nome, se concorre in diverse categorie o in diversi livelli di una medesima categoria.
2) MODALITA’ D’ISCRIZIONE
• L’iscrizione alle gare dovrà essere effettuata a mezzo mail da inviare entro e non oltre il 31 maggio 2017 all’indirizzo dance@vogheracountryfestival.com specificando:

nome del Team

città e provincia di provenienza

numero dei componenti della squadra

qualora presenti, numero dei bambini partecipanti

nome del team leader e relativi recapiti (mail e cellulare)

nome del coreografo o del creatore della coreografia

indicazione della categoria di concorso (Traditional / Catalan / Music Show)

indicazione del livello di difficoltà (beginner / intermediate / advanced)*, fatta eccezione per la categoria Music Show
• Contestualmente all’iscrizione, dovranno essere allegati obbligatoriamente:

Un video della coreografia ballata dal team leader sulla musica scelta (accettati tutti i file di più comune utilizzo)

Script della coreografia

musica utilizzata in formato mp3, minimo a 192 kb
3) CATEGORIA TRADITIONAL COUNTRY LINE DANCE (TACCHINO HAT DANCE TROPHY)
• Ciascuna coreografia presentata, concorrerà in una delle tre classi di livello standard: BEGINNER, INTERMEDIATE, ADVANCED.
• ATTENZIONE: *Il Responsabile della commissione di ballo del VCF si riserva il diritto di unificare i livelli BEGINNER e INTERMEDIATE, in un unico livello (IMPROVER), qualora i Team iscritti per ciascun livello, non dovessero raggiungere il numero minimo richiesto di 4 team.
La comunicazione ai vari team verrà data dopo la chiusura delle iscrizioni.
• L’attribuzione della classe di livello sarà indicata dal coreografo all’atto dell’iscrizione. Qualora però lo staff di coordinamento gare del VCF dovesse riscontrare elementi di incoerenza tra quanto comunicato dal coreografo e l’effettivo livello di difficoltà tecnica ed esecutiva del ballo, potrà essere operato un cambio di classe di livello, previa comunicazione al coreografo e/o al team leader.
• Livello BEGINNER: dovrà avere un massimo di 48 count, nessun limite viene dato a restart e tag. Non sarà però previsto effettuare alcun cambio di posizione dei ballerini.
• Livello INTERMEDIATE: dovrà avere un massimo di 64 count, nessun limite viene dato a restart e tag. Non sarà però previsto effettuare alcun cambio di posizione dei ballerini.
• Livello ADVANCED: non sono posti limiti in ordine al numero di count, restart o tag. E’ previsto 1 solo cambio di posizione.
• Per quanto concerne l’abbigliamento dei partecipanti alle gare, si sottolinea l’opportunità di garantire il massimo decoro e il complessivo rispetto del country traditional dress code.
4) CATEGORIA CATALAN STYLE (THE BEST OF THE WEST CATALAN CUP)
• Ciascuna coreografia presentata, concorrerà in una delle due classi di livello: INTERMEDIATE, ADVANCED.
• L’attribuzione della classe di livello sarà indicata dal coreografo all’atto dell’iscrizione. Qualora però lo staff di coordinamento gare del VCF, dovesse riscontrare elementi di incoerenza tra quanto comunicato dal coreografo e l’effettivo livello di difficoltà tecnica ed esecutiva del ballo, potrà essere operato un cambio di classe di livello, previa comunicazione al coreografo e/o al team leader.
• Livello INTERMEDIATE: dovrà avere un massimo di 64 count, nessun limite viene dato a restart e tag.
• Livello ADVANCED: non sono posti limiti in ordine al numero di count, restart o tag.
• CAMBI DI POSIZIONE: Non sono previste limitazioni.
• La musica scelta per il concorso verrà valutata dalla commissione, la quale si riserverà il diritto di approvarla o meno, nel caso in cui:

Esista già una coreografia catalan style “riconosciuta e ballata”: ovvero insegnata nelle scuole di ballo, laddove il coreografo sia riconosciuto in ambito catalan style e che la stessa sia ballata a livello nazionale/europeo nelle serate catalan.

Esista già una coreografia presentata nel circuito di concorsi internazionali di Catalan Style negli ultimi 5 anni.
• Per quanto concerne l’abbigliamento dei partecipanti alle gare, si sottolinea l’opportunità di garantire il massimo decoro e il complessivo rispetto del country catalan style dress code.
5) CATEGORIA “OVER 100”
• I Team over 100 iscritti nelle due differenti categorie concorreranno in egual modo al concorso, valutati come categoria “over 100 catalan” e “over 100 traditional” nei rispettivi concorsi (Tacchino Hat e The Best of the West).
• Verrà premiato un solo team per le due categorie, in quanto non saranno previsti classi di livello.
• Non sono posti limiti in ordine al numero di count, restart o tag.
• CAMBI DI POSIZIONE: Non sono previste limitazioni.
• Musica: valgono le stesse regole di cui sopra.
6) CATEGORIA “MUSIC SHOW”
• All’interno di questa categoria, potranno essere presentate coreografie in totale libertà esecutiva, musicale, scenografica e di organico, all’interno però di una tempistica non superiore ai 5 minuti, comprensivi dell’allestimento della eventuale scenografia.
7) COMPOSIZIONE GIURIA E CRITERI DI VALUTAZIONE
• Tutte le coreografie in gara, in tutte le categorie, verranno giudicate da una Giuria così composta: I NOMINATIVI DEI GIUDICI VERRANO COMINICATI A BREVE.
• Saranno istituite 2 differenti Giurie: TECNICA E ARTISTICA
LA GIURIA TECNICA
Identificata solo nei 3 componenti riconosciuti nello stile di riferimento.
• I criteri di valutazione che verranno utilizzati nell’attribuzione del punteggio finale sono relativi a:
1. Tecnica di esecuzione dei passi eseguiti nello stile rappresentato. Valutazione punti da 5 a 10.
2. Sincronia di tutti gli elementi e fluidità del ballo (scambi per quanto riguarda le categorie nei quali sono previsti). Valutazione punti da 5 a 10.
3. Originalità della coreografia. Valutazione punti da 5 a 10
4. Musica. Valutazione punti da 5 a 10
LA GIURIA ARTISTICA
Identificata in tutti e 6 i componenti della giuria.
• I criteri di valutazione che verranno utilizzati nell’attribuzione del punteggio finale sono relativi a:
1. Originalità della coreografia a livello artistico. Valutazione punti da 1 a 3.
2. Spirito di squadra, complicità ed empatia tra gli elementi del Team. Valutazione punti da 1 a 3
8) NOVITÁ 10° ANNIVERSARIO: GIURIA E PREMIO POPOLARE (Sponsor Country e…)
• Verranno selezionate 6 persone tra coloro che invieranno la propria candidatura e che andranno a comporre una GIURIA POPOLARE. Quest’ultima decreterà un unico vincitore tra tutti i team partecipanti nelle varie categorie, livelli e stili.
• Il team vincitore sarà identificato dalla Giuria Popolare secondo criteri di tipo personale ed emozionale.
• Le richieste dovranno pervenire entro il 31 maggio 2017, via e-mail a dance@vogheracountryfestival.com
