DOUBLE BUCKLE is an acoustic duo who formed about a year ago. As Andrew tells us: “after having met Paul and having done some rock-blues sessions in a studio, which is really not my thing, I understood that Paul had great quality as a musician and was a talented guitarist with taste and technique, who can produce some great sounds with his Fender Telecaster. Paul started playing guitar at the tender age of 14, and he already had a taste for blues, rock, and hard rock. When we met, I asked if he would play country, and he was immediately enthusiastic to try this new route. I have loved country music since I was a boy and I watched American films which were accompanied by this music. I was fascinated and began to play guitar when I was 20, playing songs by Johnny Cash, Willie Nelson, and Hank Williams, singing in my house. Through the years, I met musicians and formed various bands, but it was when I met Paul and started playing acoustically that I had the idea and the desire to invest my time in this project in which I believe a great deal and which I hope will bring forth new songs. At the moment, our repertoire is not just country but is also folk and West Coast, and we do covers of the greatest American icons … Traditional country music without having anything against New Country …”

DOUBLE BUCKLE è un duo acustico che nasce circa un anno fa … così Andrew ci racconta: “…dopo aver conosciuto Paul e aver fatto qualche session in studio di ROCK-BLUES, che non è proprio il mio genere, ho capito che Paul aveva grandi qualità, un chitarrista dotato di gusto e tecnica che produce un grande sound a Stelle e Stisce con la sua Fender Telecaster. Paul ha iniziato a suonare la chitarra all’età di 14 anni, molto giovane ma già con buoni gusti musicali come il Blues, il Rock e l’Hard Rock. Quando ci siamo conosciuti gli ho proposto di suonare il Country e lui è stato subito molto entusiasta di intraprendere questa nuova strada. Per me la musica Country è una grande passione che ho fin da quando, ragazzino, guardavo i film americani accompagnati da questo genere musicale … mi ha sempre affascinato, a tal punto che ho iniziato a strimpellare la chitarra all’età di 20 anni suonando brani di Johnny Cash,Willie Nelson, Hank Williams mentre le canticchiavo in casa. Nel corso degli anni ho conosciuto musicisti e ho formato diverse band … ma è in acustico e grazie al feeling che ho trovato con Paul che ho avuto l’idea e la voglia di portare avanti questo progetto a cui credo molto e che spero possa portare in futuro anche alla nascita di brani inediti … al momento il nostro repertorio non è solo Country, ma anche Folk e West Coast con alcune cover delle più grandi icone della storia americana … Country Traditional senza disdegnare la New Country …”
