5th Voghera Country Festival Photography Contest - WESTERN HORSES

The Cowboys’ Guest Ranch, on the occasion of the 9th edition of the Voghera Country Festival and in collaboration with Cavallo Magazine and FotoArteMania, is announcing a photographic competition. The contest is titled ”5° concorso fotografico Voghera Country Festival – WESTERN HORSES” and is open to amateur photographers (not professional.) There will be prizes for the winning
photos.

THE PRIZES
The Technical panel of Judges will choose 25 photos from those entered into the competition, and will display them at the 9th edition of the Voghera Country Festival (from the 24th to the 26th of June 2016). It will be the same panel of Judges, made up of professional photographers, to declare the three most significant images that will be awarded on the 26th of June 2016 at the Cowboys’ Guest Ranch.
In case a winner is unavailable to collect his or her prize, the prize will be sent to the winner’s home.
Cavallo Magazine is the foremost equestrian magazine for aficionados, that talks about different points of view, reports, updates, and people in the world of horses. This year, the winning photograph of the Voghera Country Festival Photography Contest, will be published in the magazine.
There will be no cash prizes.

RULES AND REGULATIONS
The competition is completely free – no dues are necessary in order to participate.
The contestants must send the photographs along with a copy of valid identification (in case of Italian residents, the “carta d’identità”) any time between March 15th and June 15th, 2016 by ordinary post to the Cowboys’ Guest Ranch – Via Tullio Morato, 18 – 27058 Voghera (Pavia).
A maximum of three photographs is allowed per contestant.
The photographs must have a title, and must measure 20×30 cm.
On the back of the photograph each contestant must write:
First name – Last name – Address – Telephone number – E-Mail address.
Photographs received without this information will not be accepted into the competition.
The contestant, by sending in the photos, implicitly states that he/she is the owner and holds all rights to the image.
By sending in the photos, the contestant takes full responsibility for their authenticity and excludes any responsibility on the part of the contest organizers with regard to ownership disputes or proprietary rights disagreements or the violation of the rights of those photographed, or any other dispute associated with the photographs.
The selected photographs shown at the 8th edition of the Voghera Country Festival are chosen by the Technical Judges’ Panel and their decision is final.
The Technical Judges’ Panel reserves the right to exclude any photographs that are not in line with the standards and conditions requested.
The Technical Judges’ Panel is made up of professional photographers and will evaluate the congruity of the images with the contest’s theme, the level of creativity, and the technical quality of the photographs.
The Technical Judges’ Panel will decide who are the three winners of contest, owners of the three most significant images showed.
By sending in the photographs, the contestant agrees to adhere to the Rules and Regulations of the contest.
Any personal information will be used only for contest purposes and will be treated with complete respect of privacy.

Digital Images
Post-production corrections are admissible (for example, cuts, color adjustment, contrast, spot removal) but no manipulation is allowed (montage, photoshop, or whatever alters the original image in a way that distorts reality).
The contestants may be contacted via e-mail or by telephone in case further information is required regarding the photographs submitted.

Unacceptable imagery
Photographs depicting the following shall be disqualified:
Images that are indecent.
Images that include brands for the purpose of advertisement, political messages, or religious messages.
Photographs that have already won other contests.
Photographs by professional photographers.
The Technical Judges’ Panel may also disqualify:
Any person who behaves in an undecorous manner that is inappropriate to this competition.

Publication
By entering the photographs in the competition, the contestant gives the Voghera Country Festival (and in particular, the Cowboys’ Guest Ranch) the right to publish these photographs for non-commercial uses associated with the competition.
The contestant guarantees that the image was of his or her own making, and that as such it possesses the requisite novelty and originality.
The contestant gives the Voghera Country Festival (and in particular, the Cowboys’ Guest Ranch) the right to reproduce the photograph, without any payment or time limitation, with whatever technological means are necessary and decided by the Voghera Country Festival (and in particular, the Cowboys’ Guest Ranch), for events, publications, presentations, conferences, exhibitions, catalogs, and charity events.
The contestants have the right to be named as photographers of the image whenever the photograph is utilised. The Voghera Country Festival (and in particular, the Cowboys’ Guest Ranch) reserves the right to not use the images for the above-mentioned purposes, and to never publish them or use them in any other way.

General Rules
The organisers reserve the right at any time to modify and/or eliminate the conditions and procedures outlined. In the case of any changes, the organisers will comunicate them within a time reasonable to the outcome of the competition. The Voghera Country Festival (and in particular, the Cowboys’ Guest Ranch) and the organiser of the competition assume no responsibility for whatever problem or circumstance might inhibit the regular unfolding of the competition.
The photographs submitted will not be returned.
By the D.P.R. n.430 del 26.10.2001, art.6, law, this competition is not subject to ministerial authorization.

1. “Western Horses”

Theme
Participants are invited to send us photos that have as their subject horses with the typical western riding equipment.
Share with us your love for horses in a creative and emotional way by sending us pictures focused on these animals in motion, while resting or working.

Il Cowboys’ Guest Ranch, in occasione della 9ª edizione del Voghera Country Festival ed in collaborazione con Cavallo Magazine e FotoArteMania, bandisce un concorso fotografico.
L’iniziativa, dal titolo “5° concorso fotografico Voghera Country Festival – WESTERN HORSES, si rivolge a fotografi dilettanti ed amatoriali, non professionisti. Ai vincitori saranno riconosciuti dei premi.

I PREMI
Di tutte le foto pervenute saranno selezionate – ad insindacabile giudizio della Giuria Tecnica – 25 immagini che saranno esposte alla 9ª edizione del Voghera Country Festival (dal 24 al 26 giugno 2016). Sarà la stessa giuria tecnica composta da fotografi professionisti a decretare le tre immagini più significative che verranno premiate il 26 giugno 2016 presso la stessa struttura del Cowboys’ Guest Ranch. In caso di impossibilità, da parte dei vincitori, a ritirare personalmente il premio, questo verrà inviato presso il suo domicilio. Cavallo Magazine, lo storico periodico equestre che si rivolge al mondo degli appassionati con diverse prospettive su opinioni, inchieste, aggiornamenti, personaggi che animano il mondo dei cavalli, pubblicherà sulle proprie pagine la foto che si classificherà al primo posto del concorso fotografico del Voghera Country Festival 2016. Non sono previsti in alcun caso premi in denaro.

REGOLAMENTO
La partecipazione al Concorso è a titolo completamente gratuito.
I partecipanti sono chiamati ad inviare le opere fotografiche, unitamente ad una copia della propria Carta d’Identità (per documentare il non professionismo in ambito fotografico), nel periodo compreso tra il 15 marzo 2016 ed il 15 giugno 2016 tramite posta ordinaria a Cowboys’ Guest Ranch – Via Tullio Morato, 18 – 27058 Voghera (Pavia).
Ad ogni iscritto è consentita la partecipazione mediante la trasmissione di un massimo di tre immagini.
Le fotografie, cui va obbligatoriamente dato un titolo, dovranno essere inviate in formato 20×30 cm.
Sul retro devono inoltre essere indicati i seguenti dati dell’autore della fotografia:
Nome – Cognome – Indirizzo – Telefono – Mail
Non saranno ritenute valide immagini fornite senza i suddetti dati.
Il partecipante, inviando le immagini, dichiara implicitamente di esserne autore e di detenerne tutti i diritti.
Inviando le fotografie il partecipante solleva gli organizzatori da qualsiasi richiesta avanzata da terzi in relazione alla titolarità dei diritti d’autore delle fotografie e alla violazione dei diritti delle persone rappresentate e di ogni altro diritto connesso alle fotografie inviate. Le fotografie selezionate per la mostra ed esposte alla 9ª edizione del Voghera Country Festival sono scelte
dalla Giuria Tecnica e le sue decisioni sono insindacabili.
La Giuria Tecnica, si riserva il diritto, a sua discrezione, di escludere ogni immagine pervenuta che non sia in linea con i requisiti indicati nel regolamento.
La Giuria Tecnica, composta da fotografi professionisti, valuterà la capacità di interpretazione del tema, la creatività e il contenuto tecnico delle immagini presentate.
La Giuria tecnica, ha altresì il compito di stabilire i primi 3 vincitori del concorso, titolari delle fotografie più significative presenti alla mostra.
Inviando le fotografie il partecipante accetta il presente Regolamento.
Ogni informazione di carattere personale sarà utilizzata nel rispetto delle norme a tutela della privacy.

Immagini digitali
Sono ammesse correzioni digitali in post produzione (quali tagli, aggiustamento colori, contrasto, rimozione macchie, ecc.) ma non manipolazioni (fotomontaggi, uso timbro clone e quant’altro tenda ad alterare la realtà ripresa).
Gli autori in concorso potranno venire contattati via e-mail e/o telefonicamente in caso ci sia necessità di fornire ulteriori informazioni sulle fotografie inviate.

Condizioni di esclusione
Saranno escluse le opere:
Lesive della comune decenza
Contenente riferimenti pubblicitari, politici o riconducibili all’ambito religioso
Le fotografie che siano già risultate vincitrici in altri concorsi
Fotografie ritenute dalla giuria “non a tema”
Le fotografie di autori che risultassero Fotografi Professionisti.
La Giuria Tecnica potrà altresì escludere, a suo insindacabile giudizio:
Coloro che dovessero tenere un comportamento non consono ad una leale competizione.

Pubblicazione
Inviando le fotografie il partecipante concede al Voghera Country Festival (nella fattispecie al Cowboys’ Guest Ranch) i diritti di pubblicazione delle stesse nell’ambito di ogni utilizzazione non commerciale connessa all’iniziativa.
L’autore dell’opera fotografica inviata alla selezione garantisce che l’opera stessa è esclusivo frutto del proprio ingegno e che tale opera possiede i requisiti di novità e di originalità.
L’autore cede al Voghera Country Festival (nella fattispecie al Cowboys’ Guest Ranch), a titolo gratuito ed a tempo indeterminato, il diritto di riprodurre l’opera – con qualsiasi mezzo consentito dalla tecnologia e secondo le modalità dal Voghera Country Festival (nella fattispecie dal Cowboys’ Guest Ranch) stesso ritenute più opportune – in eventi e pubblicazioni quali, a titolo esemplificativo e non esaustivo, presentazioni, conferenze, mostre, cataloghi e iniziative a scopo di beneficenza.
Gli autori avranno diritto alla citazione del proprio nome quali autori dell’immagine in occasione di tutte le forme di utilizzo. Resta inteso che, con il presente bando, il Voghera Country Festival (nella fattispecie Cowboys’ Guest Ranch) non assume alcun obbligo di pubblicare e/o esporre le opere che hanno partecipato alla selezione in questione.

Disposizioni generali
L’organizzazione si riserva il diritto di modificare e/o abolire in ogni momento le condizioni e le procedure aventi oggetto il presente concorso prima della data di sua conclusione. In tal caso l’organizzazione stessa provvederà a dare adeguata comunicazione. Il Voghera Country Festival (nella fattispecie il Cowboys’ Guest Ranch) e l’organizzazione del Concorso non assumono responsabilità per qualsiasi problema o circostanza che possa inibire lo svolgimento o la partecipazione al presente concorso. Il materiale inviato non è soggetto a restituzione.
Ai sensi del D.P.R. n.430 del 26.10.2001, art.6, il presente concorso non è soggetto ad autorizzazione

Tema
I partecipanti sono invitati ad inviare fotografie che abbiano per soggetto il cavallo nell’utilizzo e con le attrezzature tipiche della monta western. In passeggiata, al lavoro o a riposo, trasmetteteci in maniera creativa ed emozionale il vostro amore per questi splendidi animali.
